hi there i have an mxq 4k android tv box on 4.4.2 firmware could you please let me know the easiest or only way to upgrade the firmware to 5.0 or above as the box is not letting me download the new kodi 17 krypton onto it saying it is incompatible with device,
any help or guidance would be extremely appreciated

This file does not contain all files required for upgrade, like *.aml file. I try use rockchip tool, but device is not detected, I tried sd card method but additional files seem to be required.

Hello, I have a 2017 sxq-4k android 5.1 smart tv box that was working great . I kept reading that you won’t really enjoy your box until you reset it. Well I tried and I think I erased something. I’m an old man who doesn’t know what he’s doing but the box has been sitting in a drawer for years. I can get into the reset screen with a tooth pick. Can you tell me where I can find the firmware and anything else you might think of. Thanks
